Medical Tests

The following tests were completed in order to rule out issues related to hormone production and overall health.

Legal Disclaimer: This is not medical advice, just a log of my personal experience.

Sleep Study – 11/29/2021

This study was recommended by Marek Health in order to rule out sleep apnea.

This evaluation consisted of 3 tests; 2X home sleep tests and 1 in-lab sleep test. A variety of sensors were hooked up to me. These sensors monitored my breathing, pulse oxygen, movement and brain.

Results: negative for sleep apnea, normal sleep.

Scrotum Ultrasound – 4/27/2022

This test was done to rule out any abnormalities in the gonads.

Technique used: Multiple grayscale and color Doppler sonograms of the scrotum were obtained.

Results: “Unremarkable scrotal ultrasound” – testis are normal.

MRI Scan – 2/10/2023

I’ve had multiple blood panels where my prolactin levels (basically a anti-testosterone) were elevated. Attempts to treat this using an activated B6 supplement (P5P) did not work and the prolactin blood levels remained elevated (one test was nearly 2x the upper limit of the reference range). I asked my doctor if I could get a MRI to help rule out the possibility of a prolactinoma – a noncancerous tumor of the pituitary gland.

Below is an actual image from my MRI report.

Results: no abnormalities, no prolactinoma.
